The East Texas Aging and Disability Resources Center has been awarded COVID19 relief funds to help meet the needs of older adults and people with disabilities as communities implement measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The grants will help fund rental and utility assistance, respite for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals, to assist individuals leaving a nursing facility that are going back to the community, to provide information about and referral to supports, and more.
The new funds will help communities support older adults and people of all ages with disabilities in staying healthy, safe, and independent during the COVID-19 pandemic.
